Paskutiniu metu atrastoji
britų atlikėja Paloma Faith
nesiliauja manęs stebinusi. Greitai išleisianti ketvirtą solo albumą „The Architect“,
pagaliau ji pristatė pirmąjį singlą iš būsimojo albumo pavadinimu CryBaby,
kuris visai nesusijęs su neseniai atlikėjos gyvenime atsiradusiu pirmagimiu.
Atlikėja pristatydama
naują kūrinį, sakė, kad daina išreiškia tam tikrą santykį su vyrais. Daugelis
pasaulyje vyrų tiesiog nemoka ir negali išreikšti subtiliųjų jausmų, dėl ko
neretai vyksta pasaulyje nesantaika ir yra tiek daug karų. Daina apie tai, kaip
vyrai turėtų išlieti savo jausmus.
Šiaip daina pirmąkart
klausiant tikrai nesužavėjo, nes iš Palomos tikėjausi ne šito – daina lyg ir
pernelyg popsiška, kai labiau norėjosi iš atlikėjos džiazo ir vokalinės dainos.
Nepaisant visko, pasirodžius vaizdo klipui, kuris man truputį primena „Tarnaitės
pasakojimas“ (serialo ir Margaret Atwood romano) mistifikuotą distopinį
siužetą. Kuo toliau, tuo labiau „Crybaby“ man priimtinas. Kol kas daina nelabai
pastebima klausytojų ir Britanijoje debiutavo 67 vietoje. Siūlau pasiklausyti

Šios dienos daina: Paloma Faith - "Can't Rely on You" [lyrics / žodžiai]

Kol pas mane sukasi
nepabodęs Palomos Faith albumo „A
Perfect Contradiction“ (2014) vinilas, tol gyvenu kažkokiu keistu
ritmu. Šiuolaikinio ritmenbliuzo ritmu atliktas pirmasis Palomos Faith singlas iš
šio albumo „Can‘t Rely On You“ lyg iš pirmo perklausymo „šiaip sau“,
vėliau pažiūrėjus spalvingą (kaip ir dera Palomai Faith!) vaizdo klipo, kuris
priminė keistas sektantines-mistines apeigas – mano skonio! – dar labiau
patiko. Iš esmės šią dainą laikau vienu geriausiu perliuku iš šio tikrai
lūkesčius pateisinusio albumo.
Dainą sukūrė visiems
puikiai žinomas nemirtingo hito „Happy“ savininkas Pharrell Williams, kuris
padėjo atlikėjai Majamyje įrašyti šitą dainą, įnešdamas apskritai į albumą
optimistiškumo. Nors muzikos kritikai įvairiai atsiliepė apie kūrinį, lygindami
jį su kitais labai panašiais kūriniais, atlikėjai daina patiko. Britanijoje ji
pasiekė 10 vietą ir su 200 tūkstančių pardavimu pelnė sidabrinį sertifikatą. Kiti
albumo singlai buvo labiau sėkmingesni pardavimų atžvilgiu. Nepaisant visko,
man daina ir vokalas bei ritmas labai žavingi, todėl šiandien dalijuosi vaizdo
klipu ir gyvu Palomos atlikimu akustinėje versijoje.

Šįkart grįžtu prie Palomos Faith ir jos kol kas paskutinio
puikaus albumo „A Perfect Contradiction“, kuris pasirodė 2014 metais ir iki
šiol yra laikomas sėkmingiausiu charizmatiškosios atlikėjos albumu. Vos prieš
kelias dienas paskelbta informacija, kad albumas jau tapo antrąkart platininiu
Britanijoje. Atlikėja lyginama su Amy Winehouse išties turi puikių dainų ir
viena iš tokių – „Taste my own Tears“, primenanti retro šešto-septinto
dešimtmečio muzikos stilių.
Tiesą sakant, iš šio
albumo buvo paskelbti net šeši singlai, tačiau šioji daina taip ir neįtraukta –
o be reikalo, nes ji kažkuo taip mane paskutiniu metu kabina, kad net
