Kai tik pasirodė ši puiki pop roko Imagine Dragons muzikos grupė, visame pasaulyje jie pritraukė milijonus klausytojų. Tikriausiai retas Lietuvoje, kuris nežino, kas jie tokie ir kokia jų muzika. Vienu metu, prieš trejetą metų, visą vasarą klausiausi vien jų albumų, tačiau vienu metu atsibodo, paleidau, netgi buvau pradėjęs galvoti, (kai išgirsdavau jų senus kiek atsibodusius hitus), jog jų dainos šiek tiek skirtos paaugliams. Klydau.

Vakar, kol čia „kroviau“ į sąrašus naujas vinilines plokšteles, klausiausi paskutiniųjų Imagine Dragons hitų. Ir jie taip gerai klausėsi, kad nenustojau sukti vis iš naujo ir iš naujo. Naujausia jų daina „Wrecked“ (liet. Sudaužytas) jau tapo viena mėgstamiausių šios vasaros dainų ir viena geriausių grupės dainų, kaip sakant, for ever! Daina apie praradimus primena išties kontrastingą jūrinį bangavimą t. y. pop daina, pereinanti į lopšinę-maldą, apmąstymą ir staiga perauganti į puikaus vokalisto aukštas rokinio dainavimo natas. Nors daina neoptimistinė, ji apie netektį, išsiskyrimą, tačiau kūrinys man pasirodė visiems kuo puikiausiai prieinamas ir organiškas, harmoningas ir labai švelniai bei jautriai „užkabinantis“.

„Wrecked“ – tai jau trečiasis singlas iš dar tik būsimo penktojo Imagine Dragons albumo „Mercury – Act 1“, kuris pasirodys rugsėjo mėnesį. Ši velniškai populiari grupė per 10 itin aktyvios muzikinės veiklos metų jau išleido 5 muzikinius albumus ir toliau nenustoja stebinti savo hitais. Pasiklausykime jų šios puikios dainos.

Šiandien vėl svečiuojasi alternatyviojo roko grupė „Imagine Dragons“ su daina „Demons“, kuri buvo įtraukta į jų debiutinį albumą „Night Visions“. Daina iškart tapo pastebėta dėl savo kiek gal paaugliško skambesio, bet užvedančio „ant“ šviesaus roko. Ši daina buvo antra pagal populiarumą po „Radioactive“ – abu singlai susilaukė didelės komercinės sėkmės.

„Demons“ vien JAV-ose tapo penkiskart platininiu su daugiau nei 5 milijonų singlo pardavimu. Latvijoje ir Kanadoje daina užėmė pirmąsias pozicijas, taip pat daugelyje šalių užėmė labai aukštas klausymo pozicijas ir nuraškė ne vieną platininį pardavimo sertifikatą.

Šios dienos daina: Imagine Dragons - "Rise Up" [žodžiai / lyrics]

Sveiki,

Paskutiniu metu negaliu atsistebėti naujausiu grupės „Imagine Dragons“ albumu „Evolve“ (2017). Tikriausiai tai geriausias pop roko albumas nuo to laiko, kai pasirodė grupės Fall Out Boys albumas „American beauty / American Psycho“. Šios dienos rubrikoje siūlau pasiklausyti kol kas dar tik potencialiu albumo singlu laikomą dainą „Rise Up“, kuri išsiskiria išties labai greitai užkabinančiu pop roko priedainiu – tokios dainos tiesiog lyg uraganas nušluoja klausytojų stadionus ir visus priverčia baisiausiai rėkti.

Šiuo metu grupė koncertuoja po įvairias šalis ir kol kas į Lietuvą užsukti neketina, bet net neabejoju, kad ši muzikos grupė turi ir Marijos žemelėje ištikimų savo gerbėjų (na, bent vieną tai tikrai). Trečiasis jų albumas „Evolve“ jau JAV tapo platininiu ir yra parduota per vieną milijoną kopijų. Auksinį sertifikatą pelnė tokiose šalyse kaip Prancūzija, Lenkija, Austrija ir Italija. Manau, kad albumas potencialiai dar tik kils ir populiarės.

Na, o roką aš tikrai mėgstu. Daina „Rise Up“ išties, bent man, viena geriausių albumo kūrinių, kurią įsiminiau ir pamėgau vos iš vieno perklausymo, kas gana retai nutinka, nes mėgstu reflektuoti, ką išgirstu ir neretai atmetu, kaip nepatinkantį kūrinį, kuris po kelerių metų grįžta su jėga, tai šiuo atveju taip nenutiko. Siūlau paklausyti užvedančio gabalo.

Sveiki, skaitytojai,

Šios dienos dainos rubrikoje vėl „svečiuojasi“ alternatyvaus roko vaikinų grupė „Imagine Dragons“ ir jų trečiasis singlas iš trečiojo albumo „Evolve“ pavadinimu „Whatever it Takes“, kuri tapo mano viena mėgstamiausių albumo dainų. Muzikos kritikai gana vidutiniškai pasitiko šį atlikėjų albumą, tačiau klausytojams, žiūrint į TouTube“ peržiūras, visgi patiko „Evolve“ – nuo šiol albumas ir mano vinilinių plokštelių kolekcijoje.

Daina „Whatever it takes“ buvo paskelbta viena pirmųjų, dar tik pradedant reklamuoti „Evolve“, tačiau singlu tapo tik spalio mėnesį, o vaizdo klipas pasirodė vos prieš savaitę ir paskutiniu metu singlas smarkiai populiarėja. Amerikoje Billboard roko muzikos tope debiutavo 5 numeriu, karščiausių dainų tope viso labo 95-ojoje vietoje. Kitų šalių debiutuose daina įtraukta į šimtuką, tačiau manau, kad atsitiks taip, kaip ir su ankstesniais grupės singlais – pamažu dainos iškops į vis aukštesnes pozicijas ir prisijaukins savo klausytojus.

Labai mėgstu tokio tipažo roko muziką, kokią girdžiu dainoje „Whatever it takes“ – šviesus, arti popso roko skambesys su alternatyviosios muzikos sąskambiais fone, kiek primenančiais jų singlo „Thunder“ keistumą ir savitumą. Manau, daina daugeliui „įkandama“ ir paklausoma, tad dalinuosi su Jumis:

Šios dienos daina: Imagine Dragons - Thunder [žodžiai / lyrics]

Sveiki, skaitytojai, 

Šiandien dalijuosi su jumis paskutiniu metu iš galvos neišeinančia Imagine Dragons daina „Thunder“, kuri man primena afrikietiškų motyvų turinčią ritmingą sunkiai nusakomo žanro įsimenamą dainą. Imagine Dragons – amerikiečių alternatyvaus roko grupė, kuri savo veiklą pradėjo 2008 metais, tačiau kaip rimta grupė sublizgėjo 2012 metais, pristačiusi debiutinį albumą. Grupė pelnė pasaulinio lygio pripažinimą, gavo Grammy kaip debiutuojanti grupė ir daug nemažai kitų svarbių apdovanojimų. Tiesą sakant, apie juos nieko nežinojau iki pat 2017 metų, kol nepristatė trečiąjį savo albumą „Evolve“.

Nors albumas debiutavo pirmu numeriu Suomijoje, Čekijoje, Šveicarijoje, Norvegijoje ir net Billboard roko kategorijoje, jį pakankamai šaltai įvertino muzikos kritikai. „Evolve“ yra savotiško antrojo studijinio albumo tąsa, tai medžiaga, kuri neįėjo į ankstesnį albumą. Klausytojams nerūpi kritikų atsiliepimai ir jie šį albumą pasitiko gana šiltai. Tiesą sakant, man jis irgi patiko, yra įdomių ir negirdėtų (bent jau man) skambesių, įdomus stilius, geras pagrindinio atlikėjo vokalas. 

Šiandien dalijuosi jų hitu „Thunder“, kuris tapo iš trečiojo albumo antruoju singlu. Daina auksiniu tapo Norvegijoje, Naujojoje Zelandijoje ir Italijoje, pasaulyje susilaukė „šiaip sau“ sėkmės, bet argi kitaip būna su alternatyvia muzika? Šiandien siūlau pasiklausyti ir pasižiūrėti keisto vaizdo klipo, nufilmuoto Dubajuje.
