Jau galvojau, kad išvis nebeatrasiu naujų vasaros dainų, nes per pastarąjį pusmetį nieko melodingo ir nieko išskirtinio nepastebėjau, tačiau per pastarąją savaitę (veikia, matyt, atostogų nuotaikos) tiesiog negaliu nustoti klausytis naujų dainų srauto ir kai kuriais kūriniais pasidalysiu su jumis. Jie bus orientuoti į pop muzikos žanrą.

Taigi pirmoji šios vasaros daina, kurią malonu visada išgirsti, yra amerikiečių dalininko Charlie Puth daina „Left and Right“, kurią atlikėjas duetu įrašė su beprotiškai populiarios Pietų Korėjos grupės BTS nariu Jung Kook. Charlie Puth jau yra dviejų solo albumų atlikėjas, jo debiutinis albumas buvo labai populiarus, o kai kurios jo dainos, pavyzdžiui, su Selena Gomez, perkopė milijardines peržiūras. Nors atlikėjas kurį laiką kažkur buvo dingęs, visgi jis vėl stengiasi eiti koja kojon muzikoje, todėl dar šiemet pristatys trečiąjį savo albumą „Charlie“.

Šioji daina jau yra trečiasis singlas iš būsimojo albumo ir jis ganėtinai populiarus. Lietuvos reitinguose užima 18 poziciją. Pirmąsias pozicijas iškopė tokiose šalyse kaip Indija, Filipinai ir Vietnamas. JAV Billboard Hot pasiekė 22 poziciją, Pietų Korėjoje 5 poziciją. Daina startavo liepos 24 dieną, todėl dar apie singlų pardavimus ir sertifikatus sunku kalbėti.

Tiesą sakant, daina mane pagavo iškart, o šmaikštus vaizdo klipas, kaip sutrikęs Charlie lankosi pas abejotinos reputacijos psichologą ir nežino, kaip susitvarkyti savo minčių, prajuokino. Nors daina banaliai apie tai, kaip pamiršti prisiminimus apie mylimąją, visgi ji man labiau apie tai, kad visi gyvenime „užsicikliname“ prisiminimų pasaulyje ir velkame praeities akmenį. Muzikos kritikai bandydami nusakyti dainos elementus prasitarė, kad daina gana muzikiniu pobūdžiu minimalistinė, tačiau ją užpildo dviejų vyrukų „atidirbtas“ darnus vokalas ir itin pagavus ir įsimintinas dainos ritmas, o dainos tekstas apie pasimetimą primena Queen „Bohemian Rhapsody“. Ką galiu pridurti? Tai viena iš mano vasaros braškių.

Saldusis berniukas dainininkas Charlie Puth (g. 1991) kratosi ankstesnių įvaizdžių ir, regis, sąmoningai bando susikurti blogo vaikino įvaizdį. Tiesą sakant, man labai patiko jo debiutinis albumas – švarus ir tvarkingas albumas, kuriame skamba devinto dešimtmečio, gospel muzikos atgarsiai, o štai būsimas trečiasis jo studijinis albumas išties jau atitrūkęs tiek muzika, tiek įvaizdžiu nuo pirmųjų savo darbų. Akivaizdu, kad atlikėjas pasirinkęs gatvės kiek atgrasų jį patį sendinantį įvaizdį nori šį bei tą pasakyti apie gyvenimą ir muziką.

Pirmasis singlas pasirinktas „I Warned Myself“ modernaus ir jaukaus sąskambio daina, kuri jau nuo pat pradžių užkabino, kad netyčia pats ėmiau niūniuoti... Daina apie pavojingus gyvenime sprendimus prisodrinta žvėries sėlinimo įspūdžio ir kiek primena Billie Eilish „Bad Guy“ pop muzikos savitą ir išskirtinį stilių. Singlas nebuvo itin sėkmingas pačiam atlikėjui, bent jau ne toks populiarus, kaip ankstesnieji darbai. Visgi muzikinis eksperimentavimas atlikėjui „kainavo“, tačiau man labiau įdomūs rizikuojantys menininkai nei nuolat atsikartojantys. Daina Kanadoje vos tepasiekė 95 vietą, JAV „Billboard“ tope 49, o Naujojoje Zelandijoje 18 poziciją. Nepaisant neįvykusio komercinio dainos sprogimo, pati daina vis tiek labai „kabina“. Siūlau paklausyti.

Šiomis dienomis blizginau namų langus – tiek laiko jų neploviau, kad net gėda ir visą tą laiką mintyse sukosi šioji Charlie Puth daina „Attention“, kad tiesiog negaliu ja su Jumis nepasidalyti. Tai daina jau post factum, kuri jau išgyvena savo populiarumo saulėlydį ir ji man patiko nuo pat pradžių, kai pasirodė 2017 metais balandį ir tapo pirmuoju singlu iš antrojo atlikėjo albumo „Voicenotes“ (2018) ir, aišku, didžiausiu šio albumo hitu, kurio YouTube peržiūrų skaičius siekia beveik vieną milijardą kartų.  

Singlas tapo itin populiarus JAV-ose, kuris pelnė 4 kart platininius sertifikatus, o tai reiškia, kad parduota daugiau nei 4 milijonai įrašų. Itin daina buvo populiari Lenkijoje, Kanadoje, Australijoje ir Italijoje, kur taip pat pelnė po 4 platininius sertifikatus. Latvijoje pasiekė klausomiausios dainos topą. Lengvo ir šiuolaikiško ritmo daina primena iš pirmo klausymo savotišką švelnią lopšinę su disco stiliaus elementais.

Muzikos kritikai itin gyrė šią dainą ir klijavo jai vasaros hitų etiketę. Pačiam atlikėjui ši daina žymi naują muzikinę etapą, atsiskiriant nuo pirmojo albumo įvaizdžio, kuris labiau buvo tradicinių pop dainų rinkinys, tinkantis karaoke vakarams, o su šia daina ir visu albumu Charlie Puth žengia į absoliučiai šiuolaikinės muzikos lygą ir dažnai abejingų nepalieka.

Šios dienos daina: Charlie Puth - Up All Night [žodžiai / lyrics]

Prieš kelerius metus smarkiai išgarsėjęs vaikinukas Charlie Puth (g. 1991) man labai patiko. Kol kas ypatingai netyrinėjau jo naujausiojo albumo, tačiau jo debiutinis albumas „Nine Track Mind“ (2016) išties man labai patiko. Štai muzikos kritikai negailėjo aštrių žodžių, sakydami, kad visos albumo dainos pernelyg nusaldintos melodramatiškos dainos, kurios labiau primena mazochizmą. Bet man joje tiek gerų ir mielų kūrinių ir juos būtų galima daug kur klausytis – jaukiuose pasisėdėjimuose, einant tiesiog gatvėmis ar gulint prie ežero.

Atlikėjas išgarsėjo 2015 metais, kai labai išpopuliarėjo jo naminiai vaizdo įrašai YouTube. Vis daugiau garsių atlikėjų „atsiranda“ tokiais būdais. Malonaus ir „nepasikėlusio“ būdo vaikinas turi milijonines, reiktų sakyti, net milijardines YouTube peržiūras, o tai rodo, koks jis svarbus tam tikrai jaunųjų klausytojų kartai. Daina „Up all nigth“ taip niekada ir netapo singlu, tačiau man tai viena labiausiai patikusių albumo dainų, kuri primena harmoningai suderintą pop muziką su gospel muzikos užuominomis. Tokios dainos daugiau ar mažiau pakylėja ir įkvepia.
